July Reading Wrap Up

July is almost over, and I have three new thrillers to review! I LIVE for a thriller/mystery and love a good plot twist. All three of these books were really good page turners and had some good surprises.

The Last Thing He Told Me by Laura Dave

This book was recently made into a show, and one of my all-time favorite things to do is read a book and then watch the screen adaptation! I can’t wait to watch.

This book is about a woman named Hannah who’s husband mysteriously disappears. He leaves a note for her, and the note says “protect her”. Hannah knows he must mean Bailey, his only daughter. Hannah is her stepmother and they do not get along. Hannah is desperate to find her husband, but the police investigations soon make Hannah realize that her husband is not who she thought he was.

The Push by Ashley Audrain

This book is more of a psychological drama about a family. A woman named Blythe just became a mother to baby Violet. She has always dreamed motherhood would be everything she hoped for, but she quickly realizes that it isn’t. She is convinced that something is wrong with her baby, because she doesn’t behave like other children…but is it all in her head? Her husband doesn’t believe the things she says and dismisses all of her fears. As time goes by, she has another baby, Sam, and she has a great connection with him and everything is different. When her life is turned upside down, she faces the truth about her relationship with her daughter, and how it feels when women are not believed.

Thick as Thieves by Sandra Brown

This book was my favorite from the bunch. Twenty years ago, four people pulled off the biggest heist in their small town’s history. One ended up in the hospital, one was in jail, one was dead, and one got away with it. A girl named Arden Maxwell who’s father presumably was the one who got away with it, and the half a million dollars, never got over the fact that her father abandoned her and her sister all those years ago. She goes back to the small town searching for answers and finds out people are watching her every move.

Have you read any of these? What books have you read this month?

Thanks for reading xx
