What’s in My Travel Makeup Bag?

I recently took a trip with my husband, and I wanted to show you all of the makeup that I brought with me! This is a great way to show all of the products that I know that I love and always repurchase.

First up, the actual makeup bag. This is a huge bag and fits everything I need. It is by Makeup Eraser, and came in a set with makeup remover cloths. I swear by these cloths and use them every day! I also loved the print of this bag. It just makes me happy.

Ok, now onto the base products.

It Cosmetics CC Cream in Fair Light – This is my favorite foundation to wear IF I wear foundation at all. I usually just do concealer and powder, but I knew I would be dressing up on our trip, so I brought this with me. This gives light to full coverage, blends like a dream, and feels lightweight on the skin. One of the reasons that I don’t like liquid foundation is because it feels heavy, but not with this one. It also has good skincare ingredients and SPF 50. I use the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush to apply it, and it comes out just perfect!

Tarte Shape Tape in Light– this is just the best concealer for my dark circles, and pretty much the only one that truly covers them! It can be a tad bit drying, so I make sure to load up on eye cream before applying. This is definitely full coverage, and you only need a tiny bit.

MAC Studio Fix Powder Foundation in NW20 – I knew a few of the days of our trip I would not want to wear my liquid foundation, so I brought this to pair with my concealer. It evens out my skin tone and feels lightweight on my skin. It doesn’t look powdery and the shade is a perfect match. I apply this with the Wet N Wild Flat Top Kabuki Brush, but any fluffy brush will do.

Now, some cheek products!

Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Contour Wand in Fair/Medium – this is a liquid contour that I use kind of as a bronzer, but also works for me as a contour. It has a sponge tip applicator and I like to apply it above my cheekbones and around my forehead. It really does give a nice shape to the face, and I need that bronze tone to match the rest of my skin. I don’t tan my face, so I am pretty fair. I use the Real Techniques 405 Cheek Brush for this. It is a dense brush and blends this product really well.

Rare Beauty Liquid Blush in Hope – OMG I freakin love this blush. The color is seriously perfect (a rosy mauve), and I love everything about it. I do just one tiny dot on each of my cheekbones, and blend it back and up with the Sephora Collection PRO 93 Brush. This brush is a small brush that works so well with this blush. It lasts ALL DAY.

Milk Highlight Stick in LIT – I love this champagne gold highlight stick. It does not contain glitter, just leaves a pretty glow to the cheeks. I like to apply this beneath my browbone, in the inner corners of my eyes, and the very tops of my cheekbones. I use my finger to blend it out, and it is so pretty. My makeup doesn’t look complete without this!

Now for eyes.

Anastasia Brow Powder Duo in Dark Brown – this is my favorite brow product, and the only thing I have used probably in 10 years! I combine both colors, and blend it out with this Chanel Angled Eye Brush. It stays all day and just does the job!

Urban Decay Mini Naked 3 Eyeshadow Palette – real talk, I am just not into eyeshadow anymore. I usually am a one-and-done shade kinda gal, I use the shade Glassy (far left) and that’s all I do. BUT, if I do want to take it up a notch, this palette has everything I need. It has four shimmers and two matte shades, and I love that they are fairly cool toned. I did a full review with swatches here. I use the Sigma E25 Blending Brush to lay down the color, and then the Sigma E35 Tapered Blending Brush to blend it all out.

Maybelline Tattoo Gel Eyeliner Pencil in Bold Brown – I just looked this up to link it, and it says on my Amazon account that I have purchased this five times, LOL. I will always prefer brown liner over black, and this is my favorite one from the drugstore. (For high end, go with the Makeup By Mario one, you will not regret it). This pencil stays in place all day, and it super easy to apply. I only apply this to my top lash line and tight line.

Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal Liner in Nude – I can’t do white eyeliner on my bottom waterline, but I can do this nude color. It brightens the eyes without being so stark white.

Loreal Lash Paradise Mascara – no makeup look would be complete without this mascara; it’s just the best. Amazon says I have purchased this 7 times, and I buy the double pack! haha! Blackest black, lengthens, volumizes, holds a curl, and stays all day. What more could a girl ask for? I use this after curling my lashes with the Shiseido curler.

Make Up For Ever Artist Pencil in Anywhere Caffeine – This is a brown-y nude lipliner that just goes with any lip product. It stays all day and doesn’t feel dry.

Fenty Gloss Bomb in Fu$$y – This gloss goes perfectly with the liner, and is a rosy tone with some shimmer. It smells so good, and looks so pretty and shiny.

Dior Lip Oil in Pink – These are my favorite lip glosses of all time! I know technically they are oil, but they feel like glosses to me. I have three different shades, but I like this pink one best. They aren’t sticky, and they just give such a shiny look. They also smell good and slightly plump the lips without the burning feel.

Burbery Her EDP – No makeup bag is complete without a travel perfume. This one is so pretty and feminine. The scent is floral with notes of dark berry, jasmine, and amber musk. I think it is good for day or night, and my husband also really likes this scent.

Whew! That was a lot, but I just have to have a lot of options, you know? You never know what you’ll feel like wearing on vacation.

Do you love any of these products too? What are some staples in your makeup bag?

Thanks for reading xx
