NEW | Loreal Infallible Pro-Glow Foundation

A few years ago, Loreal released a foundation called the Infallible 24 HR Pro Matte Foundation.  This foundation is what I always recommend to people with oily skin.  It lasts so long (I’m not sure about 24 hrs…but it lasts at least 12!)  it’s not cakey, it’s lightweight, and it controls oil.  Perfect foundation for oily gals.

Now, I am not oily, so I didn’t get much use out of that foundation and ended up giving it away, even though I loved the feel of it.  I have dry skin, and matte foundations just dry my skin out even more.  What I need is a nice, hydrating foundation for my parched skin.

TA-DA!  They just released a luminous version for dry skin!  Loreal just gets me.

This is the Loreal Infallible 24 hr Pro Glow Foundation.  I found this at Walmart for around $12.  This foundation, like the first, is said to last 24 hrs.  I don’t recommend leaving foundation on that long, but it’s nice that it would stay that long, right?  This foundation has SPF 15, leaves a radiant finish, and is hydrating for normal to dry skin.  I picked up the lightest shade, 201 Classic Ivory.  For reference, I am NW15 in MAC.  I could have actually gone a shade darker with this, but this shade works with a little (ok a lot) of bronzer.

This foundation is a solid medium coverage, and feels super light on the skin.  It is a very liquid-y consistency, and not thick at all.  Comes in a plastic bottle with a squeeze tube.  I like the packaging;  no fuss.

Here’s a swatch.  Looks REALLY light on my hand, but it works on my face!

I believe I’ve just found my new favorite drugstore foundation.  Everything they claim is true.  This formula is a LOT like the Loreal True Match Lumi Foundation that I love, but this has more coverage.  The finish of this is beautiful.  It gives a healthy look to the skin without shimmer or anything.  Just straight up glowy skin, which is what I want.

I like to apply this with a dampened sponge and pat it into my skin, but a brush works too.  I don’t usually get oily throughout the day, but if I do, I like to use the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder over this.  It doesn’t give a cakey look, and takes away shine.

Here it is on me. No filter!  It is just that glowy.

Have you tried this foundation?

  3. Ok, the angels are singing at the release of this product! I have dry skin and didn’t like the original either. I went the second shade last time and it was way too dark for me, so Classic Ivory it is!

  7. […] I’ve got two of my fave foundations here- ELF Moisturizing Foundation Stick is so so nice and lightweight.  It glides over the skin and gives a light coverage, but it’s buildable.  I’ve got a full review on it here.  The L’Oréal Infallible Pro Glow is just as good.  I apply this with a sponge and it looks so natural and feels like nothing on the skin.  Review for that here.
