Hey everyone! Today, I am sharing my favorite way to make chocolate chip cookies. I originally got this recipe from my friend Sunnie, and I added my own spin on it to create these. The reason I think these cookies are so good is because they don’t get flat when you bake them, and they also have M&M’s in them. They’re amazing! Let’s get started.
What you need:
- 2 sticks (one cup) butter, softened to room temperature
- 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 3 cups flour
- 4 tsp cornstarch
- 2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup M&M’s
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chunks
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Combine butter, sugar, and brown sugar together until smooth.

Add eggs and vanilla and blend until smooth.

Next, I like to mix together my dry ingredients in a separate bowl. Combine flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt.

Add to mixing bowl and mix together until soft dough forms.

Add your M&M’s and chocolate chunks and stir together with a spoon.

Place dough in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. This will harden the dough up a bit and make it easier to roll into balls.
After 30 minutes, remove dough and roll into 1 inch balls. Place on cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. I do a dozen per sheet.

Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the tops of the cookies turn slightly brown.

Pour yourself a glass of milk and enjoy!!!
*This recipe makes about 5 dozen cookies. I usually roll out all of the cookies, and then place half of the dough balls in a freezer bag and put them in the freezer to save for another day. That way, I can have freshly baked cookies anytime!
Thanks for reading!
xx Amy
