January Reading Wrap Up!

I cannot believe January is already over! It has been rainy and cold here in Texas, which is the perfect weather for reading.

I have three thriller/mysteries to share with you!

Never Lie by Freida McFadden

I read The Housemaid series by this author, so I wanted to read more books from her.

Tricia and Ethan are a newlywed couple who are house hunting. They come across this remote manor that a famed psychiatrist lived in until she mysteriously disappeared years ago. While they are touring the house, a blizzard comes and traps them inside. Tricia finds a secret room with every audio transcript from Dr. Hale’s patients over the years. She begins to listen to them and what she finds out is shocking.

This book was really good and had some surprising twists!

When She Returned by Lucinda Berry

I have also read a few books by this author, so I wanted to try these two, and they did not disappoint!

Kate Bennett is a missing person who left behind a husband and daughter eleven years ago. When she mysteriously shows up at a gas station with a baby and screaming for help, everyone thinks that she was abducted. Her husband has remarried and her daughter doesn’t remember her. As the family tries to piece together what happened to her, they are shocked at what they find.

The Best of Friends by Lucinda Berry

Lindsey, Kendra, and Dani are three best friends with teenage boys around the same ages. One night the boys get into a tragic accident. One boy dies, one boy is in a coma, and one is too traumatized to speak. As the mothers start investigating what really happened that night, they find out that their friendship and the boys’ friendships aren’t what they thought.

These books were all so good, I would recommend them to anyone who likes thrillers!

What have you been reading?
